At Kinetic Martial Arts Moonee Beach and Coffs Coast, the safety and wellbeing of children is our top priority. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where every child can learn and grow with confidence.
1. Working With Children Checks
Every instructor, staff member, and volunteer aged 18 or over must hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
These checks are kept on file and monitored to ensure they remain up to date.
2. Supervision
No instructor, staff member, or volunteer is to be left alone with a child at any time.
This applies in the school, in vehicles, or in any other setting connected to our activities.
Wherever possible, classes and activities are supervised by at least two adults, or take place in open and visible spaces.
3. Transport
Staff and volunteers are not permitted to transport children privately.
Exceptions can only be made with prior written approval from a parent/guardian and with another adult present.
4. Training & Awareness
Instructors and staff receive ongoing guidance on child safety awareness and best practices.
We regularly review our processes to make sure they reflect current child safety standards.
5. Reporting Concerns
Any concerns about a child’s safety, or any breach of this policy, must be reported immediately to management.
Where required, concerns will also be reported to the relevant authorities.
